Pittman slams it home in all-star game
Saturday was the last high school game for many of the Houston area's top hoops prospects. The rosters were loaded with talent and the stars of the Houston area did not disappoint. The white team beat the black team in an up and down contest, 98-95, that was not decided until the final seconds.
Southern California signee Dwight Lewis, who played at Katy Taylor as a senior, led all scorers in the game with 22 points playing for the white team.
Lewis led the team in scoring, but teammate Lawrence Gilbert took home MVP honors for the winning team.
Gilbert, who signed with the Miami Hurricanes, hit three long-range jumpers, scored in transition as well as rebounding and handling the ball for the winning team.
